Beautiful Spring in South Korea - Seongeup Folk Village (Day 5, 08 Apr 2013)

After we visited Oedolgae Rock 独立岩, we headed to Seongeup Folk Village 城邑民俗村. When we reached there, the tour guide was waiting for us. She explained to us the story of the village and the culture of the villagers during the olden days.

Through her explanation, I learned more about the history and culture of Jeju Island :) This guided tour is free of charge. After the guided tour, the guide brought us to a showroom and introduced some famous products of this village. Famous products such as horse bone particles, horse oil skin moisturiser, and herbal tea 五味子茶. We also tasted the herbal tea 五味子茶, it was sweet and a little sour. Very refreshing taste! :) Also we tasted a few particles of the horse bone which is very rich in calcium. After my friend bought the horse oil skin moisturiser, then we continued our journey to Jeju Island...

On the way to Seongeup Folk Village 城邑民俗村, spotted some beautiful and colourful flowers at the roadside :)

Seongeup Folk Village 城邑民俗村 - The tour guide explained to us about the sticks which act as the house gate. If you see all 3 sticks hanging there, which means the house owner had left home for a long period. If you see only 2 sticks hanging there, which means the house owner is not at home but will come back soon. If all 3 sticks are not hanging, means the house owner is at home and visitors are welcome :)
