Day 1 (09-May-2012, Wed) - Kuala Lumpur -> Hat Yai:
- Departed from Kuala Lumpur LCCT airport (Air Asia Flight) at 11:45 am
- Total flight hours: 1 hour and 15 minutes
Morning -
- Picked up by tour guide at Hat Yai airport and transferred to hotel
- Checked-in to Mayflower Grande Hotel
Afternoon -
- Odean shopping mall - Had famous pork leg rice at the food court and shopped in this mall
- Kim Yong market - Bought some local snacks and ate delicious pork satay
Night -
- Kim Eng Restaurant 甘英餐馆 - Our dinner here, tried the spicy green curry
- Lee Garden Plaza area - Ate bird nest sweet soup and bought some snacks from 7-Eleven convenient store
- Night market - Walked around the night market nearby the hotel, but the stalls were preparing to close business =.=
Day 2 (10-May-2012, Thu) - Hat Yai:
Morning -
- Breakfast at hotel
- Shops around hotel - Tried the fried snacks at the roadside stall
- Kim Yong market - Mum wanted to buy something there
- Songkhla Ground Tour:
- Big Buddha Temple
- Local products shop, Nora Plaza - Selling souvenirs, bird nests, T-shirts, handmade products etc. Bought my souvenirs key chains here
- Local snacks shop - Bought pork floss crackers, 林真香pork floss, local candies, dried jack fruit snacks etc
Afternoon -
- Samila Beach - Visited the famous Mermaid statue, Cat & Mouse statue. Tried the sweet coconut juice and some local snack food here
- Sujinda Restaurant, Samila Beach - Had our seafood lunch here, a bit expensive...
- Nag statue - Took pictures of The Great Serpent. It is believed if you were sprayed by the water spraying pipe there, you will be blessed :)
- Sleeping Buddha - Stopped by to snap photos
- Prime Minister Bridge - Our tour guide van drove us passed through the bridge
- KoYo Island - Our tour guide van drove us passed by and tour guide shown us the ships on the sea
- 2 hours Thai Massage session - Recommended by our tour guide. Quite relax until I nearly felt asleep.
- Additional Four Faced Buddha Tour:
- Standing Buddha, Khao Tang Kuan Hill - Our tour guide suggested us to come here during sunset, as he noticed we were into photo shooting :P So we can capture nice sunset photos on top of the hill. (Tested out my new camera Sony Nex-5N as well :P)
- Four Faced Buddha, Guan Yin Temple - Reached there by cable car
- Boots Pharmacy, Big C Supermarket - Special request to our tour guide, as I couldn't find any Boots pharmacy around except in the Lee Garden Plaza which recently closed down after bomb case tragedy :S (Need to help my friend to get body lotion there). Thanks to my tour guide who lent me his Boots member card (Can get a little discount) Haha :D
Night -
- Log Terrace Restaurant - Had our dinner here, tried the crispy pork knuckles (really crispy and big portion!!)
Day 3 (11-May-2012, Fri) - Hat Yai -> Kuala Lumpur:
Morning -
- Breakfast at hotel
- Walk around the streets nearby the hotel - Bought a cute Zebra stainless steel mug from Zebra wholesale shop. Cheap!
- Checked out hotel
- Bye bye Hat Yai and went back home :)
