World Heritage Walk - Macau Trip (Day 1, 07 Sep - 08 Sep 2012)
Before this trip started, I did extensive research for a few months including reading 2 Macao travel books, 2 Hong Kong travel books, forum posts, blogs, Macau and Hong Kong official tourism websites, searching in Google, studying on the map and etc... In order to produce the itinerary that suitable for family trip, I felt a bit stressed out and melancholic (even insomnia at night) because this time I'm the one and only one who gotta plan all the things from scratch :( (I guess this is the responsibility of being the eldest in the family...) If I am planning for the free and easy trip that only for myself, I will just plan whatever I like without many considerations...
Anyway, I still managed to come out with the itinerary for this 8D7N Macau & Hong Kong trip, although it is not so perfect, hehe... But, I should travel in Hong Kong first and follow by Macau, this is because if you are coming from Macau and departing at Hong Kong International Airport, you will get the departure tax refund. Too bad that I realised this too late since I've booked the hotels before I got to know this information 3 months ago before the trip :( Another tourist spot we missed out is the 南湾湖激光音乐喷泉 Nam Van Lake Cybernetic Fountain show due to we reached there a bit too late and not sure where is the exact venue...
Once we reached Macau, I was worried whether we can get to our hotel with the free shuttle bus (because I read some books stating the Ponte 16 Hotel free shuttle only allows their hotel guests to ride on their bus), but luckily after my observation, found out that any visitors can ride on the bus, yeah!! Can save a bit on the transportation fees!!
For this day, I've planned to explore the 'Las Vegas' of Asia in this country, hehe... It was really an eyes opening experience after I visited a few casinos in the hotels. Although I didn't place any bet in the casinos, but by just walking around the casinos, it makes me feel like I'm suddenly situated in a world of money $$$!!! All the hotels and casinos are so grand and well designed, it is really a good photo shooting opportunity :)
Me in the Hong Kong Airport Train going to E2 Transfer Area at Terminal 1 with small and tired eyes (Woke up at 4 am :S)
After I bought Turbojet ferry tickets, I checked my baggages transfer status with this machine
