Day 13 - Christchurch

Today is the last day of our New Zealand trip! I think I will miss the beautiful scenery of the places I've visited! However, I still need to bid goodbye to this lovely country!

After we have packed our luggages, we drove our rented car (Nissan Blue Bird) to the car rental centre to return to them. Then, their friendly staff drove us to the airport.

After we have checked in our luggages, we finally gotta say goodbye to New Zealand and back to our home sweet home!

P/S: Earthquake happened again after the next day we flied back to Malaysia! Scary!

My breakfast bought in Pak n Save supermarket yesterday night - Delicious pie! Filled inside with egg and ham! Thanks to my friend who treated me!
Ace Car Rental centre - Gotta return our rented car! Saw the small box behind? It is to store our luggages!
Christchurch Airport - Time to bid goodbye to New Zealand!
Christchurch Airport - Nice screen!

Day 12 - Christchurch

Today we woke up a bit late in the cold and raining morning. I accompanied my friends to search for the Christchurch tax centre in order to get their tax refund after they had ended their working holiday jobs.

After they had done with their tax refund, I felt very hungry and we went to the Fish n Chips takeaway shop to get our lunch. I'm too hungry at that time and gotta eat my lunch in the car... Hehehe...

After dinner time, we went to Pak n Save supermarket to get some food and snack. Luckily the supermarket is opened till quite late, so we still able to get our things there!

Christchurch - Sad to see the beautiful architectures are collapsed after hit by earthquake :(
Christchurch - Buildings are collapsed
Christchurch - GPS doesn't help at this moment to search for the tax centre because most of the road are closed
Christchurch - The street is very quiet and less cars, maybe this area is dangerous, the earthquake might come again?
Christchurch - We can't enter to this area, but actually there are many shops there...
Pak n Save supermarket, Christchurch - We found that most of the things are cheaper in this supermarket compare to the others. Got my manuka honey there!
Christchurch - Saw collapsed buildings again :( It's scary!

Day 11 - Franz Josef -> Hokitika -> Christchurch

In the morning, we spent a little time to shop a while in the Franz Josef souvenir shop before we heading to Christchurch. From Franz Josef to Christchurch, it took around 5 hours of driving time. (Feel like always gotta sit inside the car while travelling from city to city :P).

In the afternoon, we passed by Hokitika ciy. This city is famous for jade, however we have no time to visit the jade shops in the city. In addition, we saw The National Kiwi Centre there too, but we decided not to enter into it. We only stopped by a while to enter to the New World supermarket. Then, we continued our journey to go to Christchurch.

We finally back to Christchurch (the first city that I reach in New Zealand) in the evening time after long driving journey, it's quite tiring. After having our dinner, we went to Pak n Save supermarket to get some food and snack.

Due to the recent earthquake tragedy that hit Christchurch we unable to visit many places there! The things we saw are some collapsed buildings and architecture. Blessings to Christchurch, hope the local people there can recover from this sad time soon...

Hokitika - We just stopped by this city to go to the New World supermarket
The National Kiwi Centre, Hokitika - We didn't have a chance to enter into it
Hokitika - Saw a cute sports car while refilling car petrol at the Challenge petrol station
Nice view while we are on the way heading to Christchurch
