Dining at Bentong & Raub Resorts (23 Dec 2012)

After attended my friend's wedding dinner and the next day morning I woke up at 5:30 am for this trip, I felt a bit exhausted and my eyes' dark circles are getting deeper and deeper :( I need more sleep and rest, especially recently spent a lot effort and time on designing my past travel trips' photobooks... I really miss my solo trip in Paris now...

OK, back to the topic...The main focus on this trip is visiting and dining at the Valley Resort 山寨谷 in Bentong and Ming He Yuan 明河园 Resort in Raub. We had our lunch at Valley Resort 山寨谷 and dinner at Ming He Yuan Resort 明河园. Valley Resort 山寨谷 is located inside the forest, visitors can do fishing and barbecue here. While the resort at Ming He Yuan 明河园 is more modernized, the guests can do spa here too. I prefer the environment at Ming He Yuan 明河园, maybe because of the flowers and gardens there made me felt very relaxed :P

A picture worth a thousand words, so I can save my words now...

After breakfast at Bentong, we went to the morning market nearby
Passed by a road side stall that was selling very huge jackfruit
A lot of bees were flying around the huge jackfruit

Breathing fresh air at Genting Highlands (08 - 09 Dec 2012)

I visited Genting Highlands for N times... This time, since my mum got a day of free stay at First World Hotel, therefore we decided to go Genting to relax and breath some fresh air there :)

This trip is not as usual as the past visits in Genting, because this is the first time I visited the Genting Strawberry Leisure Farm and Mushroom Farm. The farms are free for entrance, however for self picking strawberries at the farm, of course you have to pay for the strawberries :P

Christmas is around the corner!!
Indoor decoration of First World Theme Park
Another indoor decoration of First World Theme Park
My favourite singer - Jeff Chang 张信哲 will have a concert here next week!!
We took cable car to go to Genting Strawberry Leisure Farm...
After taking a free shuttle bus and stopped at Gohtong Jaya, then we walked about 2 minutes, finally we reached Genting Strawberry Leisure Farm... Yay!! :)
Very cute strawberry fountain!!
Spotted this very huge 佛手!

First time seeing this strawberry flowers
I like to eat strawberries :)
Beautiful roses can be found here too...
Why I can't smell the fragrance of the rose? Maybe my running nose is not fully recovered :(
Lavender field can be found here too! I don't need to go to France to see Lavender... Haha :P (P/S: My sis said these flowers are not Lavender, I'd been fooled :P)
Beautiful flowers are selling here
More beautiful flowers...
Happy to see so many beautiful flowers...

Passion fruits on top of my head. (P/S: Mum said this is 'Love Fruit' 爱情果???)

After visiting the farms, we spent some time at Awana Genting Resorts while waiting the free shuttle bus to go back to First World Hotel. We just relax and see others playing golf there during sunset...

After dinner, we spent some time in the casino. As usual, I got no luck in winning anything there... Haha... But my mum won a little, so she spent me a sweet and smooth Caramel Frappuccino at Starbucks :D

We booked 3D movies tickets earlier, before the movie started, we spent some time to shop around. The movie was started at 10:40 pm, so we quickly went to the cinema 10 minutes earlier.

At night, we watched a 3D movie for a very first time in Genting - 'Life of Pi' (RM20 - premier seat inclusive a pair of 3D glasses), not too expensive as I thought. This movie is really interesting, it conveys a message to us that not to easily give up, maybe hope is hidden somewhere at the corner :)

We slept very comfortably in the hotel room at night after watching a nice movie... In the next day morning, we had our breakfast at 'Rich Dad Coffee Shop'. Then, we strolled around to see the outdoor theme park and took the chance to breath some fresh breeze :)

Long time didn't play at the outdoor theme park... Not sure when I can go there again :(
After checked out from the hotel at 11:30 am, time to go downhill and back to KL... (P/S: Before leaving Genting, we saw Santa Claus and some dancers were dancing 'Gangnam Style' at the entrance of First World Hotel! :P)
